Hilton Hotel & Capital Centre

Sydney CBD, NSW

The Sydney Hilton Hotel & Capital Centre Project was one of the most ambitious redevelopments ever carried out in Australia. Consisting of the demolition and reconfiguration of the bottom 10 floors of a 32 storey building, as well as a total refurbishment of the existing hotel rooms and office tower to an 'A' Grade standard, the engineering design was put through multiple peer reviews to ensure the most practical and cost efficient methodology was undertaken.

Our Role

Executive Project Management served as Project Director and Project Manager for Defects Management. Our role encompassed Design, Superintendence, Contract Administration, FF&E Procurement, Project Programming and Defects Management.

The Development

The award-winning project was designed by Johnson Pilton Walker with interiors by Tony Chi of New York City. The completed development includes 577 hotel rooms, conference facilities for over 3,000 delegates, the renowned Zeta Bar, Glass Restaurant, the heritage-listed Marble Bar, and a comprehensive Health Centre.

The scale and complexity of this redevelopment demanded exceptional coordination across multiple disciplines and contractors, all while maintaining the operation of a functioning hotel and commercial building in the heart of Sydney's CBD.
